MANILA, Philippines - The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) will review the franchises of 6,000 provincial buses to determine if they are following the designated routes assigned to them in Metro Manila.
LTFRB Chairman Alberto Suansing said the review is part of the bus reduction program being implemented by the government to ease the worsening traffic conditions in the metropolis.
The provincial buses have designated terminals in Cubao (Quezon City), Caloocan, Pasay and Manila. – Perseus Echeminada
