A magnitude 4.7 tectonic earthquake jolted some parts of the country yesterday but no damage and casualties were reported, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) director Renato Solidum said.
He said the quake occurred at 1:12 a.m. with its epicenter traced at 84 kilometers southeast of Baler, Aurora, and was felt at Intensity 2 in Guinayangan in Quezon and Baler as well as in Makati and Quezon City. – Helen Flores
