Korean national, 70 Pinoys arrested in cybersex den

Camp Vicente Lim, Laguna – A Korean businessman and around 70 of his Filipino workers were arrested by the operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Region 4A in an operation conducted against his illegal operation of cybersex den in Biñan and Calamba City in Laguna yesterday morning, authorities said.

Senior Superintendent Christopher Laxa, CIDG-Region 4 chief identified the alleged cybersex den operator as Kim San Taek, 46, of Givalink International with three branches in Laguna and Cavite.

In a search warrant issued by Judge Ceasar Mangrobang of the Regional Trial Court Branch 22 in Imus, Cavite, operatives of the CIDG led by Superintendent Romano Cardino swooped down at Kim’s internet cafes in Barangay San Vicente in Biñan and Barangay Parian and Uno Poblacion in Calamba City at around 10:30 a.m.

CIDG operatives arrested the suspect while engaging in illegal operation and showing of pornographic photos through the internet.

The suspects were hearded to the CIDG office to face charges of violation of Article 201 of the Revised Penal Code, otherwise known as immoral doctrines, obscene publication and exhibitions and indecent show.      – Arnell Ozaeta
