An opposition congressman on Friday urged the Supreme Court to look into the impeachment complaint filed against President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo at the House of Representatives.
Cagayan de Oro representative Rufus Rodriguez said he is mulling filing a case at the high tribunal questioning the complaint after discussing it with House Minority Leader Ronaldo Zamora.
Rodriguez said they would seek a temporary restraining order from the SC to stop the House committee on justice from hearing the complaint.
The opposition group had accused lawyer Roberto Pulido of filing a 'weak' impeachment complaint as a way to immunize the President from a stronger complaint.
