SAN CARLOS CITY – A former pastor of the Baptist Church and his son were gunned down in their residence in Barangay Magtaking here Monday night, police said.
SPO4 Jose Resultan, who handles the case, told The STAR that Romeo Bulatao, 46, branch manager of a motorcycle store here, and his son, Dennis, 21, a sales agent in his father’s office, sustained multiple gunshot wounds and were declared dead on arrival at the Blessed Doctors Hospital in Barangay Ilang here.
Police said Bulatao was watching television along with his wife and three children (Dennis’ siblings) when two men suddenly barged in and fired at him.
After his father was shot, Dennis rushed out of his room and was about to fight back but he, too, was shot.
The gunmen fled on board a motorcycle parked few meters away from the Bulataos’ residence.
Probers were eyeing a love triangle involving Bulatao as a possible motive, but were not discounting other angles, Resultan said.
