SAO PAULO (AFP) - None of the 186 people aboard TAM's ill-fated Flight 3054 appear to have survived the fiery crash in Sao Paulo, the head of the Brazilian airline said yesterday.
"There is no sign of survivors," TAM President Marco Antonio Bologna said at a news conference.
The Airbus 320 on Tuesday careened off the notoriously short runway upon landing at Sao Paulo's Cagonhas airport, skidded across a crowded avenue and slammed into a warehouse where it burst into flames.
Several people on the ground also were killed.
