The Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey for the second quarter of this year pertaining to the performance of President Arroyo showed a widening difference of opinion between residents of urban and rural areas.
Based on the survey conducted from June 27-30 with 1,200 respondents, the difference between Mrs. Arroyo’s satisfaction net ratings in the Visayas and Metro Manila rose to 41 points in June, from only 25 points last February.
Highest satisfaction rate of 48 percent was recorded in the Visayas, from 41 percent in February. Dissatisfaction level went down to 38 percent from 40 per-cent.
Mindanao also gave the President an improved satisfaction rating of 44 percent and 36 percent dissatisfaction rate from the previous 42 percent and 41 per-cent level, respectively.
However, Mrs. Arroyo’s satisfaction rate worsened in Metro Manila with -31 percent (26% satisfied, 57% dissatisfied) compared to –24 (28% minus 53%) in February.
