CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga – The Clark Development Corp. (CDC) announced yesterday that three business process outsourcing (BPO) firms here have announced they would be needing 1,400 new workers this year.
CDC vice president for business development Ernesto Gorospe said Sutherland Global Services, Intellirisk Management Corporation (IRMC) and Cyber City Teleservices Inc. are in need of call center agents.
He said Sutherland alone is hiring 600 new agents for its in-bound call center operations.
Sutherland is a multinational BPO firm specializing in customer management and back office services for its 1,000 clients. It was founded in 1986 in Rochester, New York and now employs over 15,000 professionals offering right-shored, blended services from its 18 delivery centers in India, the United States, Philippines, Canada and Mexico.
Gorospe said Sutherland is expected to eventually employ a total 1,500 workers its operations at Clark to complement its more than 5,000 agents in its Makati City BPO operations.
Intellirisk Management Corp. (IMRC) is also in need of 400 English-proficient agents, while Cyber City Teleservices Inc. is in need of another 400 workers to man their inbound and out-bound call center operations.
He noted that “IRMC has made extensive financial and technology investments in its Center of Excellence in Clark”.
