NBI regional director Reynaldo Esmeralda, who heads the bureaus Special Task Force, said suspect Rodolfo Cuer reportedly figured in the robbery at the Dianne Rose Bakery in Green Valley Subdivision in Bacoor, Cavite 28 days before Gingoyons murder.
Esmeralda said Cuer, together with six others, is facing charges for that robbery with the Cavite provincial prosecutors office.
According to the NBI, Cuer might have also been involved in the murder of Japanese national Yuhara Tsutomo who was gunned down outside his house in Las Piñas City last November.
Esmeralda said Cuer and five other suspects in the Gingoyon killing Sahid Sulaiman, Mark Datas, Efren Samonte, Felimon Rabino and Rudy Baclor are detained at the Cavite provincial police command.
The NBI is still looking for the mastermind in the judges killing.
Gingoyon, 53, was gunned down last Dec. 31 some 300 meters from his residence in Molino, Cavite. Evelyn Macairan
