2 Pangasinan newsmen write 30

DAGUPAN CITY — Two columnists of the leading local paper in Pangasinan, The Sunday Punch, passed away over the weekend, due to heart attack.

Napoleon ‘Nap" Nabor Donato, 55, who writes the weekly column "Hotshots," died Saturday at the Nazareth General Hospital here.

His body now lies in state at the Eternal Gardens Chapel, Poblacion Oeste.

Interment will be on Nov. 9 after the 7:30 a.m. Mass.

Meanwhile, Maximo Torio Mendiguarin, 82, who is famous for his "Tartariwan Balita" program over Bombo Radyo Dagupan, passed away on Sunday.

Mendiguarin also worked for other radio stations until he reached his 70s. He then concentrated on writing for the Sunday Punch, and was known for his column "Crime Notes". He also died at the Nazareth General Hospital here.

His body lies in state at his residence in Barangay Linoc, Binmaley, Pangasinan. Interment will be on Nov. 12 after the 7:30 a.m. Mass. — Eva Visperas
