The victim, Renato Huerto Jr., 27, a resident of Pasig City, died while being treated at the Amang Rodriguez Medical Center.
Recovered from Huertos possession was a letter dated Sept. 22 from the management of Mano Shoe Manufacturing Corp. asking him why he could not account for the 441 missing pairs of shoes.
Another letter from the shoe management dated Sept. 27 asked Huerto to file his resignation by Oct. 21.
Security guard Rommel Tanco said he saw Huerto walking at the fourth floor of the mall in Barangay San Isidro at about 9:10 p.m. last Monday.
After a few minutes, Tanco said Huerto jumped from the fourth floor, catching him by surprise.
Tanco rushed Huerto to the hospital where he died two hours later.
Chief Inspector Domingo Lomibao Jr., deputy police chief of Cainta, said they are now investigating whether the two letters prompted Huerto to commit suicide.
