Police said a caliber 9-mm pistol was found near the body of Chief Inspector Errol Reguel, 33, on the floor of his air-conditioned room.
Probers learned that Reguel had been emotionally disturbed since an American inmate, Marlow Sherwood, accused of sexually molesting his daughter, allegedly committed suicide inside his cell last July 15.
