Task force to go after killers of graft prober

BATANGAS CITY — Philippine National Police chief Director General Arturo Lomibao has formed a special task force that will go after the killers of Batangas resident ombudsman Guillermo Gamo.

Gamo, 56, also a supervising cooperative development specialist, was ambushed by two motorcycle-riding men as he was on his way to his office on board his Toyota Corolla at the boundary of Barangays Balagtas and Alangilan here last Monday morning.

Gamo died from multiple gunshot wounds from a caliber .45 pistol.

Lomibao instructed Senior Superintendent Francisco Don Montenegro, Batangas police director, to head Task Force Gamo, with local police and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group probers as members. — Arnell Ozaeta
