The bodies of engineer Renato Amoroso and his housemaid, identified only as Belen, bore multiple stab wounds.
Senior Superintendent Leocadio Santiago, Rizal police director, ordered a province-wide manhunt for a certain Bobby whom Amoroso had fired as helper three days ago.
Investigation showed that two security guards of the Town and Country Executive Village in Barangay Mayamot discovered the killing at about 2:30 a.m. yesterday when they noticed water flowing from Amoroso’s garage.
The security guards repeatedly knocked on the gate but nobody answered. Noticing that the gate was unlocked and the light inside the house was on, they entered and saw bloodstains on the floor of the living room.
Tracing the trail of blood, they found Belen dead in the servant’s quarters.
The security guards reported their find to the police which immediately sent probers to the area. The responding policemen found Amoroso’s body inside the comfort room at the second floor.
Neighbors said they heard Belen shouting Bobby’s name during a commotion inside Amoroso’s house. Belen appeared to be pacifying Bobby, they said.
