Initial investigation showed that the incident happened at around 12:40 a.m. the other day at the Bayan Muna provincial headquarters in Sitio Bukhasan, Barangay Cawayan.
Bayan Muna members Rolex Tafalla, 23; and Ma. Luningning Qui, 19, told the police that prior to the attack, at least three motorcycles and a green van were seen outside their office.
Tafalla, who was still awake at the time of the bombing, said that after the motorcycles left their office, it stopped a few meters away. Minutes later, he said he saw at least 10 men carrying high powered guns. Then one molotov bomb exploded at the back of their office.
Tafalla told The STAR that after the first bomb, three others followed. However, only three out of the four bombs exploded.
Awakened by the commotion, 20 other Bayan Muna members helped extinguish the fire which was starting to engulf the kitchen.
Tafalla said the culprits fled towards the poblacion on their motorcycles. The green van which was seen earlier also followed.
