The 147 used cellphones were included in the shipment of legally imported computer parts, office supplies and accessories consigned to a company in Yati, Liloan town.
The shipment arrived at the CIP last month from the United States on board M/V Ocean Park.
Prior to the shipments arrival, Troy Tan, chief of the Cebu Customs Risk Management Group, had received information that it contained undeclared cellular phones, prompting district collector Billy Bibit to alert his men. Fred Languido/Freeman News Service
