Old couple shot, burned to death

BUTUAN CITY — Unidentified men shot and burned to death a septuagenarian couple in Marihatag, Surigao del Sur Monday night, police said.

Neighbors of Amelio and Cecilia Telen, both 73, told probers they heard two gunshots and commotion inside the old couple’s house in Barangay Mahaba, afterwhich they saw the house in flames.
