The Korean government has mulled imposing a travel ban if the twin murders are unsolved, but Superintendent Louie Oppus, Lapu-Lapu City police chief, said they have difficulty following up leads in the killing because the wives of slain Koreans Cho Yoon Sik and Kim Suk Sun have left the country.
Oppus said he is working on the speedy resolution of the case but that he is constrained to do so because the victims’ wives, who are considered to be vital witnesses, have left.
Thus far, the police have been probing the business angle as they are now pursuing two alleged business partners of Cho and Kim, who both owned the Shabu-Shabu Ox restaurant in Odon.
