Tax examiner held for extort

CEBU — A lawyer who works for the Bureau of Internal Revenue in Mandaue City as a tax examiner was arrested by elements of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in an entrapment inside his office Tuesday morning after demanding money from a businessman.

Lapu-Lapu City trader Vicente Ygot accused BIR examiner Reynaldo Dos-uno of demanding P30,000 from him in exchange for an assessment of his 400-square-meter lot when he visited the lawyer at his office Monday afternoon. — Freeman News Service
