Slain by dissidents

SAN JOSE CITY — The skeletal remains of a civilian believed executed by the same group of communist rebels behind the 2001 abduction-killing of an Aglipayan pastor, were dug up in Lupao, Nueva Ecija early this week, the military said.

Col. Jovenal Narcise, commanding officer of the Army’s 702nd Infantry Brigade, identified the victim as Robert Figuracion of Barangay Tayabo this city. Figuracion was identified by his wife Luz through his dentures.

One of four rebels arrested in Cuyapo town last Saturday, led Narcise’s men to Figuracion’s grave in Barangay San Roque, Lupao town. Manny Galvez
