Grief and shock hounded the family of a four-year-old boy found murdered by no less than his first cousin a 15-year-old girl in Barangay Pritil here the other day.
Upon her arrest, the teenager admitted killing her young cousin, saying she was angry at the boys father who reportedly tried to separate her from her live-in partner.
Chief Inspector Joselito Sta. Teresa, this towns police chief, said the teener strangled the boy with a handkerchief inside her house (the cousins lived in the same compound), and tried to hide his body under the bed.
She fled after the incident, but the police subsequently caught her.
She is now detained at the municipal jail, awaiting murder charges to be filed against her. James Mananghaya
