"All is well between us now," Lapid told The STAR after his lunch meeting with Berroya who promised to submit to the governor a list of three nominees for the position.
Provincial administrator Benalfre Galang said Lapid had agreed to retain Senior Superintendent Arturo Cacdac as officer-in-charge of the Pampanga police. Berroya appointed Cacdac without Lapids approval last Thursday.
Lapid earlier had recommended Senior Superintendent Efren Alamares to the post, to replace Senior Superintendent Rafael Rafanan who had retired.
The governor, however, agreed to Cacdacs temporary designation since the ban on government appointments is in effect in view of the barangay elections this July. Ding Cervantes
