GMA lauded for LWUA overhaul

The Philippine Waterworks Association (PWWA) has expressed its sincerest gratitude to President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo for heeding calls to reorganize the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) following reports of nefarious activities by some of its officials.

The PWWA lauded the President for immediately naming Lorenzo Jamora as new LWUA administrator and Francico Dumpit and Normando Toledo as trustees.

In a resolution signed by its president Gabriel Villareal and secretary Marciano Drion Jr., the PWWA said President Arroyo continues to demonstrate her resolve to rebuild public trust in the LWUA.

Villareal and Drion said the PWWA reaffirms its unqualified support to the continuing efforts of president Arroyo to boost efforts in the water industry in providing safe and potable water to all Filipinos in the years ahead.
