MANILA, Philippines - An unidentified robber stole P11 million in cash and valuables from a doctor’s house in Barangay West Kamias, Quezon City last Friday.
The robber, armed with a knife and a handgun, entered the house of Elena Junio-Ramirez, 58, through the laundry area at around 1:20 p.m., according to a report from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD).
The robber was described to be between 35 and 40 years old and medium in build.
Once inside, the robber held Ramirez’s housemaid, Danica de Castro, 22, at gunpoint and told her to go into the house. He then ordered the doctor and her son, Guillermo, 32, to proceed to the second floor.
Police said Guillermo attempted to fight back but the robber overpowered him. The robber opened the padlock of a cabinet in the master’s bedroom and took around P1.09 million in cash, P10 million worth of jewelry, a closed-circuit television camera recorder and other gadgets worth P63,500.
