MANILA, Philippines – The Dario Bridge along EDSA on Congressional Avenue, Quezon City is now open to motorists after seven months of rehabilitation, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced yesterday.
DPWH National Capital Region director Melvin Navarro said the project contractors finished work on the bridge ahead of schedule.
Navarro said the repair is scheduled for completion on Feb. 13.
The DPWH opened the northbound and southbound lanes of Dario Bridge.
The structure was closed on June 19 last year for the replacement of the three-barrel reinforced concrete box culvert built in 1964.
The repair involved expansion, asphalt overlay and lane markings.
The rehabilitation of the bridge was awarded to the contractors for P38.7 million.
