MANILA, Philippines - National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) director Chief Superintendent Joel Pagdilao honored yesterday officials of the Malabon and Marikina police stations for their hard work that led to the arrest of wanted persons in their jurisdictions.
Pagdilao urged officers and men of the NCRPO to work harder to achieve their goal to make Metro Manila a safe place to live in.
During a simple ceremony at the NCRPO headquarters at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City, Pagdilao pinned the Medalya ng Kagalingan on Malabon police chief Senior Superintendent Severino Abad Jr. for the arrest of Jenaro Cuartero, the fourth most wanted person in the city.
Cuartero was tagged in a series of robbery incidents in Malabon. He has been charged with drug pushing and possession of illegal firearms in various courts.
Cuartero was nabbed on the strength of a warrant of arrest for robbery issued by a Malabon court, police said.
Senior Inspector Glenn Aculana of the intelligence division of the Marikina police was awarded with the same medal for the arrest of the city’s sixth most wanted person Ricardo Borre, 31.
Borre was apprehended while playing billiards along Pipino street in Barangay Tumana by virtue of an arrest warrant for robbery and violence with intimidation.
