MANILA, Philippines - A 41-year-old cook in an eatery in Parañaque City won the jackpot of the 6/42 lotto’s July 23 draw, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced yesterday.
The lone winner on Tuesday claimed his P37,995,536 prize at the lottery office in Mandaluyong, PCSO general manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas said.
The player picked the winning combination, 09-18-27-29-32-37, from the first six digits of his mobile number for a P20 bet.
He had been playing the lotto for 15 years.
The newest member of the lotto millionaire’s club lives in a slum area in Parañaque with his wife and four children, Rojas said.
The winner plans to buy a house and lot, put up his own business and save for his children’s future.
