BOC seizes P1.5-M ecstasy tablets

MANILA, Philippines - The Bureau of Customs (BOC) seized 1,010 tablets of the party drug MDMA, better known as ecstasy, in a parcel from the Netherlands Thursday night.

The tablets have a street value of approximately P1.5 million, the BOC said.

The parcel was mailed by J. Vermolen on Dec. 9, 2014 to Martin Sean Duenas of Sinagtala Village in BF Homes, Parañaque City.

The package arrived at the Parañaque Post Office on Dec. 22, 2014. The BOC turned over the parcel to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Thursday night.
