MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) is again opening its doors to applicants wanting to become anti-narcotics officers.
The agency is in the recruitment and selection process for agent-trainees for the Drug Enforcement Officer (DEO) Basic Course Class 2015-07, PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac Jr. said yesterday.
Cacdac said they are looking for 132 DEOs, an entry level position of Intelligence Officer 1, which is a permanent item with Salary Grade 11.
“Once they are recruited, they will undergo a six-month comprehensive training at the PDEA Academy in Silang, Cavite,” Cacdac said.
He said they are in the process of screening trainees for neuropsychological examinations.
PDEA is also in need of 127 administrative and technical personnel, Cacdac said. He said lawyers and accountants are most qualified for the positions.
“After passing interviews and assessments, they shall occupy the vacant plantilla positions at the agency,” Cacdac said.
“PDEA is looking forward to beef up its campaign against illegal drugs,” he added.
