MANILA, Philippines - A 53-year-old street sweeper was stabbed dead by a parking attendant in Rizal Park Saturday night.
Lorna Faedacan died while being treated at the Ospital ng Maynila yesterday, case investigator Senior Police Officer 2 Milbert Balinggan said.
Her assailant, Eduardo de los Reyes, 40, turned himself in to the Manila Police District Station 5 after the incident.
Police said Faedacan and De los Reyes had an altercation for unknown reasons at past 8 p.m.
Witnesses said the suspect grabbed the victim’s hair and stabbed her several times.
