MANILA, Philippines - A robbery suspect, who allegedly punched his victim before staging a jeepney heist in Quezon City on Sunday night, was arrested after the passenger sought police assistance.
Suspect John Michael Masangkay was identified by Dexter Ramirez as the one who stole his bag and attacked him as the jeepney cruised along Aurora Boulevard at around 8 p.m., said Quezon City Police District director Senior Superintendent Joel Pagdilao.
Police officers arrested Masangkay in a follow-up operation and recovered Ramirez’s bag.
