MANILA, Philippines - The Makati City government has opened the city’s first 24-hour health center in Barangay Palanan to serve residents when the other health centers close by 5 p.m.
Makati Mayor Jejomar Erwin Binay Jr. said the clinic seeks to decongest the city-run tertiary Ospital ng Makati (OsMak) hospital in the city’s second district.
“This 24/7 primary health care facility will serve as a template for the planned conversion of other barangay health centers in strategic locations in the city to make primary health services more accessible to all residents, and also for the convenience of working parents,” Binay said.
