MANILA, Philippines - A graduate of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) topped the licensure examination for physical therapists, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced yesterday.
With a grade of 87.90 percent, Ernest Paul Calasanz led 511 board passers while Silliman University graduate Adrian Emmanuel Teves followed in second place with a score of 87.80 percent.
The PRC said only 511 out of the 874 examinees passed the licensure examination held in Manila and Cebu.
De La Salle University-Health Sciences Institute graduate Ralf Santamaria was in third place for a score of 86.30 percent while University Santo Tomas (UST) graduate Perry Neil Lee ranked fourth with a grade of 86.05 percent.
Velez College graduate Kimberly Claire Chu took the fifth spot with a grade of 85.60 percent while another PLM graduate, Edjochris Estrada, placed sixth with a grade of 85.50 percent.
Another Velez College graduate, Keziah Eda Isito, and Our Lady of Fatima University graduate Tyrone Pamiloza shared the seventh spot as both scored 85.25 percent while another UST graduate Monique Ilagan got a grade of 84.95 percent that landed her in eight place.
University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center graduate John Carlo Jumarang ranked ninth with a score of 84.90 percent while PLM graduate Nadine Endaya and San Pedro College graduate John Lemuel Gomez shared the 10th spot with a grade of 84.85 percent.
Occupational therapy exam results out
The PRC also reported that 93 out of the 163 examinees passed the occupational therapist licensure examination with University of Philippines graduate Anne Kristine Rivera topping the list with a score of 82.40 percent.
UST graduate Paolo Pimentel placed second with a grade of 82.20 percent followed by UST graduate Kristen Zaira Morales in third place with a grade of 81.80 percent.
Another UST graduate, Kevin Solis, captured the fourth spot with a grade of 81.60 percent followed by UP graduate Alexa Jane Blas in fifth place with a grade of 81.40 percent.
Sixth placers were UP graduate Edren Daeniel Santos and Velez College graduate Frances Isabela Teves, who both got a score of 81.2 percent while UP graduate Cessnalyn Fajardo landed in seventh place with a grade of 80.80 percent.
With a grade of 80.40 percent, Cebu Doctors University graduate June Grace Epe and UST graduate Danielle Marie Bianca Racela shared the eight spot followed by Emilio Aguinaldo College graduate Benz San Pedro, who placed ninth with a grade of 80.20 percent.
UP graduate Maria Jennifer Estrella and UST graduate Nicole Marie Locsin both got a grade of 80 percent and took the 10th spot.
