MANILA, Philippines - Police are eyeing illegal drugs as the motive behind the killing of a 40-year-old man in front of his partner in Navotas City Wednesday night.
Christopher Ocampo was walking with Carla Manalaysay along Cabrera street at around 10:15 a.m. when a man wearing a helmet and a blue jacket crossed their path and fired on the victim, hitting him in the face.
The gunman fired two more shots at the victim’s head before walking away.
Navotas police chief Senior Superintendent Conrado Gongon Jr. said Ocampo had no job and the area is a known drug haven.
