MANILA, Philippines - A teenager, who had just graduated from high school, was found hanging from a wooden beam in her family’s home in Quezon City on Tuesday.
A cousin of Jeremie Abarra, 16, went to the house in San Bartolome, Novaliches at past 11 a.m. but when she peeked through the window, she saw Abarra’s body suspended from the ceiling by a nylon cord looped around her neck, Police Officer 2 Alvin Quisumbing said.
He said the teenager was alone at home at that time as her parents and her siblings were all outside.
Her family could not think of any reason why she would take her own life, Quisumbing said, adding that the girl even participated in the local Santacruzan parade over the weekend.
