MANILA, Philippines - A barangay councilman was charged for allegedly using his gun to threaten a doctor and his medical team who were conducting circumcisions for free in Barangay Sipac-Almacen, Navotas City Wednesday.
Kagawad Danilo Trinidad, 51, reportedly became angry when one of his constituents, who had been waiting in line, was not accommodated when the medical team ended their activity at around 2 p.m. after they ran out of medical supplies, Navotas police chief Senior Superintendent Conrado Gongon said.
Dr. Henry Tinio tried to explain his side but Trinidad reportedly started cursing at him and his team. Cooler heads intervened and led Trinidad out of the venue.
As Tinio and his team boarded a tricycle to leave the area, Trinidad returned with a gun and chased them, Gongon reported.
