MANILA, Philippines - At least two people were hurt in a pileup involving 12 vehicles and a motorcycle on C-5 Road’s northbound lane near Kalayaan Avenue in Makati City yesterday afternoon.
The two victims, who were riding the motorcycle, were taken to the Ospital ng Makati for treatment, the Makati police said.
The other vehicles involved in the collision were a truck, two Toyota Innovas, a Mitsubishi Pajero, a Mitsubishi Adventure, a van, a Hyundai Tucson, an Isuzu van, a Honda CRV, a Mitsubishi L300 van, a Toyota Hilux pickup.
According to initial reports reaching the Makati City police, the pileup happened under the Kalayaan elevated U-turn at about 5:04 p.m.
The collision crippled traffic on C-5 Road, with only one lane passable, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority’s Metrobase reported.
