MANILA, Philippines - One of the four suspects in the shooting of a grandson of impersonator Willie Nepomuceno and three others in Marikina has been arrested.
Marikina police chief Senior Superintendent Reynaldo Jagmis said the suspect, whose name was not immediately made available, is now in police custody. ABS-CBN identified the suspect as 30-year-old Mark Bersilla.
Nepomuceno’s grandson, Sean, 16, and his three friends – identified as Sherwin, Frank Raven and Angelo – were eating at a burger stand on Thursday after playing at a nearby computer shop when the suspects, in a white Ford Fiesta, shot them.
Jagmis said the identification of Fiesta’s car plate led to the suspect’s arrest and identification.
The victims were brought to the Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center in Marikina, where they were treated.
The elder Nepomuceno earlier said his grandson was conscious and out of danger.
