MANILA, Philippines - The Metro Rail Transit and the Light Rail Transit Lines 1 and 2 will offer free rides on Dec. 30, Rizal Day, officials said yesterday.
The free rides will be from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. only, MRT operations manager Renato San Jose said.
LRTA spokesman Hernando Cabrera said regular security checks will be implemented to ensure peace and order at the rail lines.
