2 bodies found in QC

MANILA, Philippines - The bodies of two males, believed to be victims of summary execution, were found separately in Quezon City Monday night and before dawn yesterday.

Inspector Elmer Monsalve, head of the homicide investigation section of the Quezon City Police District, said one of the victims was identified as Julius Tiburcio, 15, of Agham Road, Barangay Pag-Asa.

Monsalve said the other victim, estimated to be in his early 30s, has yet to be identified.

Monsalve said bystanders identified Tiburcio after he was found dead at past 10 p.m. in front of Philippine Children’s Medical Center along Quezon Avenue in the same barangay.

A village watchman saw a black van stop and noticed that something was dropped off from the van before it sped off. When he approached and opened the bag, he was shocked to see the teenager’s body, wrapped with packaging tape.

Monsalve said the teenager had multiple puncture wounds in his chest and ligature marks around his neck.

At past 3 a.m. yesterday, the unidentified man’s body, covered with a rice sack from head to waist, was found in front of a house in Barangay Holy Spirit.

Village officials took off the sack and found the victim was bound with a nylon cord and earphone cord. The unidentified man had puncture wounds behind his left ear and a gunshot wound in his left leg.
