5 hurt in Taguig grenade blast

MANILA, Philippines - Five persons, including a 10-year-old boy, were wounded when two still unidentified persons lobbed a grenade in Barangay North Signal, Taguig City on Wednesday night.

Jonathan Meday, 21; Bert Malonzo; William Flores; Ricardo Ampil, 10; and Ruben Orate were standing in front of a house on 10th Avenue at past 10 p.m. when the two persons appeared and hurled the grenade, city police chief Senior Superintendent Arthur Felix Asis said.

Investigators said that a brawl that occurred on Wednesday morning may have been the reason for the attack.
