MANILA, Philippines - Police have released the artist sketch of a well-spoken man said to be a member of a group of car thieves targeting luxury cars they take out for test drives.
The man identified as Kenneth Ocampo was the one who allegedly stole the Range Rover from a showroom in White Plains, Quezon City last Sunday. The owner of the car dealership shop described him as an “English-speaking†and “rich-looking†person, who arrived in the shop in a Lexus RX350.
It was the same Lexus vehicle that was stolen from a showroom in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City a few weeks ago also during a test drive.
Police said the one who actually took the Range Rover appeared to be a different person who stole the Lexus.
The stolen Lexus was a “demo unit†or the one taken out for test drives by prospective buyers.
