MANILA, Philippines - A member of the group “Baywalk Bodies” found her ex-partner dead when she visited her former lover’s condominium unit in Barangay Pag-asa, Quezon City at past midnight yesterday, days after they broke up.
Jeanette Joaquin, whose real name is Maria Leonora Teresa Medalla, 26, found that Abigael Marco, 27, had hanged herself in the condominium unit they used to share, Police Officer 2 Rhic Pittong said.
Marco used an extension cord that was looped around her neck and tied to the front of the door of the bedroom, Pittong said.
Medalla told police she broke up with Marco and left the victim last Dec. 16. She said her former partner would hurt her whenever she got jealous.
She said she dropped by Marco’s unit since some of her personal belongings were still there. Medalla was shocked to find Marco had hanged herself, police said.
Medalla shouted for help and village watchmen arrived to bring Marco to the Veterans Memorial Medical Center.
Marco’s neighbors told police she was last seen alive Friday night. Pittong said Medalla had been drinking before hanging herself since there were several beer bottles found in the living room.
