MANILA, Philippines - A witness in the killing of the aide of Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Leila de Lima four months ago has surfaced at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) headquarters in Manila Friday afternoon.
NBI Special Task Force chief Roland Argabioso said the statement of the witness corroborated with the agency’s theory that Alister Quintos, a member of the DOJ’s Intelligence Service Operations Group, was a victim of robbery. He was found dead in San Ildefonso, Bulacan last May 11.
Argabioso said the witness has decided to surface when he learned that the NBI is conducting an investigation on the case of Quintos.
