MANILA, Philippines - A pushcart retriever and an airport policeman returned important documents and an iPad left behind by a passenger who arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 from Cagayan de Oro yesterday morning.
Pushcart retriever Nilo Malitao said he noticed the items were left in the pushcart by Michael Lu, who had left the airport. He immediately informed airport policeman Adonis Lovico and they brought the items to the airport’s lost and found section. They found Lu’s contact information and they told him about the items he left behind.
Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) officials turned the items over to Lu after he presented valid identification.
“This is public service, these MIAA employees should be emulated for their dedication to their duty,” Lu said.
