MANILA, Philippines - Actress Janelle Manahan will reenact today how her boyfriend, actor Ram Revilla, was killed in his house in BF Homes, Parañaque in October last year.
The reenactment will be part of the ocular inspection of Revilla’s house, which Judge Fortunito Madrona of Regional Trial Court Branch 274 said can help determine the “probability and improbability of the crime.”
Manahan’s lawyer, Resty Mendoza, said his client will give Madrona a “complete picture” of what happened.
Revilla (Ramgen Bautista in real life) was shot and stabbed on Oct. 28, 2011 in his room by a man wearing a mask. Police witnesses and two of the suspects claimed that his being a bad brother was the motive for his murder.
He was with Manahan, who was also shot in the face during the attack. She survived and pressed frustrated murder charges against seven accused, including two of Revilla’s younger siblings.
The ocular inspection was originally set last Tuesday but was postponed after the court failed to notify the accused.
Madrona had just finished inspecting the house’s facade, including its distance from the guard house, when he was told that the accused were not present.
Those accused in Revilla’s death are his brother Ramon Joseph, 18; alleged gunmen Roy Francis Tolisora and Michael Nartea; and alleged middlemen Glaiza Visda, Ryan Pastera, and Norween dela Cruz. A seventh suspect – Revilla’s sister, Ramona – fled to Turkey.
Visda’s lawyer, Claire Castro, earlier said it is “very important” for the six accused to witness the procedure “because they might have an objection or know things we lawyers do not know.”
