MANILA, Philippines - Two men were killed in separate shooting incidents in the cities of Malabon and Caloocan Saturday night.
Dennis Tumbocon, 27, a resident of Barangay Tugatog in Malabon City, was shot at around 11:45 p.m. during a drinking spree with his neighbors.
He died at the Malabon Community Hospital at around 1:15 a.m.
Senior Police Officer 1 Redentor Mantala Jr. said two unidentified men shot Tumbocon.
About an one hour later, Marlon Esguerra, 31, a resident of Barangay 176 in Bagong Silang, Caloocan City, was gunned down near his house.
Esguerra was driving his motorcycle when shot at. He lost control of his motorcycle that smashed into the wall of a bakery.
Esguerra died on the way to the Dr. Jose Rodriguez Hospital due to a gunshot wound and head injuries he suffered from the motorcycle crash.
Senior Police Officer 4 Dicoroso Domingo said a witness identified Esguerra’s gunman as a certain Boy Tato, who was linked to a number of criminal activities in the area.
A manhunt for the suspects of both incidents was launched yesterday.
