MANILA, Philippines - Actress Janelle Manahan is planning to ask the Turkish government’s help to send murder suspect Ramona Bautista back to the Philippines.
Manahan’s lawyer, Resty Mendoza, said their camp is just waiting for a Parañaque trial court to issue an order canceling Bautista’s Philippine passport.
After which, they plan to ask help from the Turkish government, through the Department of Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario.
Mendoza said their camp is not sure if Bautista, who is married to a Turkish man, has a Turkish passport.
Bautista and brother Ramon Joseph are accused of masterminding the murder of their eldest brother, actor Ramgen Bautista, whose screen name is Ram Revilla. Both have denied the charges.
Bautista reportedly fled to Turkey after recanting her statement that she was abducted after an attacker killed Revilla inside their house on Oct. 28.
Ramon Joseph, on the other hand, is detained at the Parañaque City Jail with five other co-accused.
