MANILA, Philippines - Actress Janelle Manahan was “distraught” upon learning that her sex video with boyfriend Ram Revilla (Ramgen Bautista in real life) spread like wildfire on the Internet, even as her lawyer accused the slain actor’s immediate family as the ones behind it.
Her lawyer, Argee Guevarra, said Manahan “confirms” she is the woman in a sex video showing her and Revilla in a bathroom. His client was shocked and cried after learning through social networking sites Facebook and Twitter on Thursday that someone has uploaded the video, he added.
“This video represents the second assassination of Ramgen and second frustrated murder of Janelle orchestrated and masterminded by the Bautista household,” Guevarra said over the phone.
Gueverra alleged that one of the younger siblings of Revilla had been blackmailing Janelle through Facebook messages. “She was told ‘you are not clean ate (elder sister) Janelle,’” he said.
Guevarra added that only someone with an access to the Bautista’s computer can upload the video. “That video was stored in Ramgen’s computer and later transferred to one of the computers of the Bautista household,” he said.
Manahan is a witness against two siblings of Revilla – Ramon Joseph and Ramona – who were tagged as masterminds in his Oct. 28 murder.
Manahan also wanted another Revilla’s younger sibling, Gail, and her husband Hiro Furuyama included in the charge sheet.
In a separate phone interview, Bautista family lawyer Jeffrey Gepte said “it’s absurd (to blame the family) because it’s a private matter between Ramgen and Janelle. So it would be very absurd for the whole Bautista family to know about it.”
Gepte said that before Manahan’s lawyer starts pointing fingers, they should first find out if only Revilla had a copy of the video.
Guevarra, meanwhile, called on Revilla’s half-brother, Sen. Ramon Revilla Jr. – as the author of the Anti-Voyeurism Act – to lead the investigation “with the same passion and commitment” he had for actress Katrina Halili, whose sex video with former doctor Hayden Kho went viral in 2009.
