MANILA, Philippines - Two village security officers were killed while another was seriously hurt when three unidentified gunmen riding a motorcycle attacked a barangay outpost in North Caloocan City Tuesday night.
City police chief Senior Superintendent Jude Wilson Santos identified the victims as purok leader Esperidion Custodio, 49, and village watchman Domenguito Marquez, 35, both residents of Phase 3, Package 1 in Bagong Silang.
Custodio was shot with a .45 caliber pistol while Marquez succumbed to gunshot wounds in different parts of the body.
Village watchman Pascual Alvarado, 71, of the same barangay is confined at the East Avenue Medical Center in Quezon City for treatment of gunshot wounds in his back.
